the eighties

When did the 80's become cool? I don't remember the first half and I don't remember the last half being that special....but there's something about the music and the ridiculous clothes that entices people. I mean people actually wore stuff like this:

I never thought I'd be the person that would enjoy dressing up and reflecting upon this horrible decade of fashion with others but I did. And, I would do it again. I wouldn't do it alone though, clearly it's more enjoyable with friends:

For this evening, my martini selection was the Key Lime. I have had friends order it a couple of times and each time I think, that looks delicious but oh so thick. However, I tried it and it is delicious! I'm giving it a 7.3 mainly because it doesn't taste much like a martini and didn't have enough zing to win me over. But, I highly enjoyed it. I also highly enjoyed the Miami Vice I had, pictured above, in my sweet, take home, collectible light-up cup. Score. Thanks also to Sandi, Brian, Adam and Jenna for supporting the 80's and witnessing the ridiculousness. Right on.
